#30daysand30ways #togivethankslovehope

This morning Bon Jovi got stuck in my head - WOah-OH we're halfway there! WOOahOOOH Living on a prayer!!! because...

We're halfway through our #30daysand30ways #togivethankslovehope !!!!

This November we've been celebrating the most grateful month of the year by inspiring those around us to be share out of their gratitude!  If you've been missing out on ALL our social media posts... here's what #30daysand30ways is all about:

Across America in the coming weeks, we prepare for Thanksgiving by celebrating gratitude in our daily lives.  We pay special attention to show our gratitude to our family and friends. We reflect on our lives and give thanks for the people and things that make our lives everything we want or hope them to be.  From simple acknowledgements to extravagant gestures, the month of November has opened the door for us to share gratitude with the world around us.

November compels us to sit back, take a moment, and truly think about the many things we often take for granted during the other months of the year.  We acknowledge the food on our table and the roofs over our heads and give thanks for the wonderful provision in our lives.  During this season of gratitude, we invite you to be inspired to give!  In places like Kunchubwe Village, food, clothes, and shelter are not a guarantee.  We invite you to be inspired — not by what they DON’T have but by what you DO have!  We introduce to you the 30 Days and 30 Ways to Give Thanks, Love, & Hope to orphaned and abandoned children in Zambia!

We’ve brainstormed 30 things we take for granted in our own homes and a matching 30 ways we can give out of our gratitude to Life Okendewa, our home for orphaned and abandoned children.  From big things (check out Day 14) to small things (pay attention to Day 28) there’s a way for everyone to contribute to Life Okendewa!

If you love your shoes, consider giving $10 to outfit a child with 3 pairs of shoes!!

Day 15: we’re thankful for access to clean water. Whether we’re washing our hands, taking a shower, or getting a glass of water to drink - we have 24/7 access to clean water! This December we’re drilling our EIGHTH well in Zambia in a neighboring village to Kunchubwe! In this village, people are walking 5-7km to retrieve water from a local stream - it’s contaminated, green, and dries out during half the year. We want to maintain and repair all of our boreholes we drill for years to come. Consider giving an amount of your choosing towards maintaining our clean water projects!
